In this passage, ‘Love’ is a verb (agapeo) and ‘keep’ is a verb (tereo). Jesus did not say if you love me, then say it. NO! Jesus said if you love Me, SHOW Me. Jesus knew love was a verb not a noun! Jesus did not just talk the talk but He walked the walk. LIVE A VERB LIFE!
Words without action are meaningless and void. Jesus did not come to this world to just make an appearance. Jesus came to this world to save (verb - sozo) us. John 3:16-17. LIVE A VERB LIFE!
What we do speaks so loudly that God can’t hear what we are saying! This same mentality flows into our personal lives with each other. When Scott and I were dating, he would tell me that he loved me and I would ask ‘where is my present? SHOW ME because I’m a verb person!
Do not give God lip service but instead give him action/verb service! It’s all about Him. We have an incredible opportunity every day to show Jesus that we love Him by the decisions we make! LIVE A VERB LIFE!
