Who Are You Shacking With?
The phrase ‘Because he has set his love’ is the Hebrew word ‘chashaq’ pronounced ka shack which means to join together, to adhere to. Who Are You Shacking With?
God promises to deliver those who are joined together with and adhere to Him. God is love and He created us to love Him. In Mark 12:29-31, Jesus states very clearly there is one God and we are to love Him with all of our heart, soul and mind. We as Christians quote that frequently but fail miserably to live it as we give excuses (reasons stuffed with a life) on why we put other people and things before our God. Who Are You Shacking With?
If you are stuck in a situation needing deliverance, ask yourself the question “Who Am I Shacking With?” Who or what is getting the majority of your time and money? God is a jealous God and He must come before anyone or anything. (Ex. 34:14) Do a self-examination of your daily calendar and your checkbook to verify your true heart for God! Make the necessary adjustments and live truly and unselfishly for Him!! God will never disappoint or fail you! Who Are You Shacking With?
Because I am joined together and adhere to God, therefore God will deliver me and set me on high because I have known His Name.
If my husband and children just told me they loved me but never wanted to fellowship with me, it would be meaningless! If they just told me Happy Birthday without even buying me a card or making me a cake, it would be hurtful! Make God first place in your heart, soul and mind by actions and not just lip service and experience His powerful and supernatural deliverance and protection in your life!
God gave us His best - let’s give God our best and you will live in royalty (1 Peter 2:9)!! Who Are You Shacking With?

Who is Your Guest of Honor?
Psalm 100:4
“Enter into His gates (entrance) with thanksgiving, And into His courts (enclosure surrounded by a fence) with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.”
It would be fair to say that when someone hears the word “November” the first thing that comes to mind is “Thanksgiving”! What a blessing to have an entire month centered around the sole focus of being thankful. Who is your Guest of Honor this Thanksgiving?
Thanksgiving Day traditions change for families through the years and it’s sometimes difficult to maintain an attitude of gratefulness as we focus on loved ones that are not sitting around the table due to bodily death, or because of death in a relationship caused by strife and offense, or because they simply choose other plans. In reality, disappointments are a fact of life and God told us “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 5:18). We have to make a conscience effort to allow the true meaning of Thanksgiving to saturate our thoughts, focus and plans! Who is your Guest of Honor this Thanksgiving?
‘Thanksgiving/ meanings in the Bible:
(Old Testament) “towda: to offer praise to God.
(New Testament) “encharistia”: giving of thanks for God’s blessing
Thanksgiving is not just about what we have or do not have on this earth but rather Who created the world in which we live and what He so sacrificially gave for us to live joyous, triumphant lives!! Who is your Guest of Honor this Thanksgiving? Let’s praise Him and thank Him!!!
Because God is our Guest of Honor on the Thanksgiving Day, as for me and my house we will serve the Lord (Josh. 24:15) so the Everett family chooses to “Enter into our front door with thanksgiving, And into our house with praise. We are thankful to God, and bless His name.”
Happy Thanksgiving!!

EASY DOES IT!
Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.] John 14:27AMP
Do you know that Jesus desires for us to live in perfect peace – He tells us so in His Word! Jesus knew that the world gives the false reality that we should be living in the fast lane but you will never make a good decision in an emotional state! EASY DOES IT! When you are faced with a decision, do not allow yourself to be agitated or disturbed – instead calm down and allow the peace of God to rule in your heart so that you will make the right decision.
Why do you think stores have a 1-day sale? They want you to buy it NOW before you change your mind. EASY DOES IT! Why do you think when you place an order at a drive-thru, they ask do you want to super-size it? They want you to spend more money NOW before you have time to think about all of the extra ‘bad’ calories. EASY DOES IT!
In March, 1993 during the huge snow storm, my body went into pre-mature labor at 28 weeks. To make a long story short, while in the hospital, Scott left to go home to walk our dog. He had been gone about 15 minutes and my water suddenly broke and my doctor wanted to take me immediately for a C-section due to my now 29 week BREACH baby. I immediately called Scott to come back to the hospital and told the doctor he would not touch me until my husband arrived. They were putting fear in me by saying that was too dangerous for my baby’s life. I shut their voices off and began to draw peace from my Jesus and stood my ground. Upon Scott’s arrival, our baby Jillian was born at 29 weeks! She was the ‘perfect premie’ and we brought her home in 30 days instead of 72 days!!! Let God be true and every man a liar! (Rom. 3:4)
Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled by the world but let the peace of God make your decisions - no matter how big or how small!! You will never make a good decision in an emotional state.
Decisions, Decisions, Decisions = the PEACE OF GOD RULES!! Easy does it!

YOU’RE NOT ALONE
Rejection will come in some way, shape or form at some point in your life but YOU’RE NOT ALONE because rejection has been here since the beginning of time…
1 Samuel 8:7…..God rejected
Hosea 4:6………knowledge rejected
Jeremiah 8:9…..Word of the Lord rejected
Mark 7:9………..commandment of God rejected
Mark 8:31……...Jesus rejected by religious leaders
Luke 7:36……...counsel of God rejected
Luke 17:25…….Jesus rejected by people
Rejection is not a reflection of you but rather just a decision made by others. Yes, rejection hurts and can cause depression, low self-esteem and even suicide. Rejection does come but YOU’RE NOT ALONE. Rise above rejection and let Jesus be your example. Jesus knew who HE was and rejection did not take Him off of His course!!! He held His head high and defeat was not an option!! Reverse the role of rejection and allow it to be a springboard for your success – let it roll off your back like water on a duck!! Do not let the rejection of people define you – let the Word of God define you!
When rejection comes from family, teacher, friend, boyfriend, employer, or spouse – let Jesus be your example and rise above it! YOU’RE NOT ALONE! Jesus did not take rejection personally because He knew it was rooted in ignorance and had no reflection whatsoever on Him as the King of kings and the Lord of lords! Do not let the words and actions of others label you or rule over you but know and understand that you are a child of our Saviour King and everything that God created was good and fruitful and important!!
God favors you today! God honors you today! You are a success today! You have God’s special favor upon you today! He makes His face to shine upon you today! He is gracious to you today! (Numbers 6:25)

STOP SQUIRMING - JUST BE STILL ALREADY!
A bad situation had been going on for days last week between and one of my children me. It was difficult because it was not a spiritual circumstance that could be “fixed” with the revelation of quoting one Bible verse. I WAS SQUIRMING AND COULD NOT BE STILL!! Ever get to that place where you as a mother in and of yourself can’t fix it so frustration and aggravation sets in because you – THE MOTHER who is the source of comfort and understanding for your children is just not working…….
As I sat in my quiet place, I wanted to figure out the answer in and of myself. I WAS SQUIRMING AND COULD NOT BE STILL!! At these times it is so important to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God (1 Peter 5:6) and allow Him to pull back the covers so we can honestly examine our hearts. Sometimes the words we are saying are not effective because we have that inner struggle of not believing what we are actually saying. Our kids know us and they can see through the veil that the words coming out of our mouths are not lining up with what is in our heart!! Honestly, let me say it has and will always be my desire for my children to be challenged but not overwhelmed.
So, after SQUIRMING AND NOT ABLE TO BE STILL, my pride broke – PRAISE THE LORD! I gave up and submitted myself to my Savior and as I opened the Bible, my eyes fell on “for You have magnified Your Word above all Your Name.” Ps. 138:2. As I sat there just meditating on His Word so powerful and true. The Holy Spirit prompted me to turn to “Be still [to leave off (your own attempts)] and know [recognize and understand] that I am God.” Ps. 46:10. Yes, I leave off and stop my own attempts and I am going to recognize and understand You God and trust that You will give me the answer. In that awesome moment, true repentance came as God began to flood my heart with the real source of the stress and aggravation. See, moms – you cannot minister to your children without God ministering to you first!! STOP SQUIRMING - JUST BE STILL ALREADY! Finally, I was able to communicate truthfully and honestly to my child and it was received and all of the stress ceased immediately!!!
God is so faithful and true as He will never, ever leave us or forsake us (Heb. 13:5) but will give us exactly what we need when we need it if we will only stop and be still as we intimately and sincerely enter His presence. Allowing the Holy Spirit to bring revelation of God’s Word is not a sign of weakness but rather a source of strength!!
STOP SQUIRMING - JUST BE STILL ALREADY!
